Oakland Glass are accredited with BS EN ISO 9001:2000 Quality management system for the manufacture of sealed units and toughened glass.

This advanced product provides excellent thermal performance with 950 times lower conductivity than aluminium bar.

Oakland Glass utilise state-of-the-art 'Super Spacer Warm Edge' technology to keep at the forefront of glass production.

Super Spacer is made of 100% polymer structural foam, and is unlike other edge seal spacers that contain steel or aluminum wrapped in butyl rubber.

Oakland Glass sealed units are manufactured under a BS EN ISO 9001.2000 quality scheme and carry BS EN 1279 Kitemark approval.

Oakland Glass produce double glazed units to British Standards on a fully automated dual sealed line.

Double glazed units are constructed using a combination of a sealant that functions mainly as a high-strength adhesive and a second sealant, which is used primarily as a moisture vapor seal.

Oakland Glass toughened float glass is produced under a BS EN ISO 9001.2000 quality scheme and carry BS EN 12150 Kitemark approval.

Toughened Float Glass:

• Is four to five times stronger than annealed glass of the same thickness
• Typically breaks into small particles which are normally "non-injurous"
• Has greater resistance to thermally induced stress than heat strengthened or annealed glass
• Is also sometimes described as "tempered" glass. These two descriptions have the same meaning and are fully interchangeable
